Project Description
A Visual Studio debugger visualizer that displays the content of WPF brush instances during debugging. It supports all WPF brushes, including VisualBrush and DrawingBrush.

Note: This should work on both VS2010 and VS2008 but I have not had a chance to test on 2008. If you install it on VS2008, please let me know how it goes, either through my Contact Page or on the discussion board.

Screenshots

The visualizer is available in any window you can look at variable values. Just select WPF Brush Visualizer from the drop down

Installation

Download the latest release and unzip the WPFBrushVisualizer.dll file to the following directory:
  • My Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Visualizers (for VS 2010)
  • My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Visualizers (for VS 2008)

That's it, Visual Studio should now let you view your WPF brushes during debugging. If it doesn't work immediately, try restarting Visual Studio if you had it running while installing the visualizer.
